The Beach in Winter

Wednesday, December 30, 2009

We went to Daytona for a mini vacation and it was as amazing as always. It's our favorite place to be come December and we've been going for years. We couldn't stay as long as we usually do this time around, but the little bit of time we had was worth the drive and more.

The beach in winter, I think, is underestimated and undervalued. Have you seen the ocean in December? The sky over the ocean? It's the stuff dreams and inspirations are made of. These pictures are the things I took in while I was walking the beach and the pier, two of my most favorite places in Daytona. I've got loads more that I'll post over on my Flickr page if you care to see them. (None of surfers, who were out in droves on our last day there, unfortunately!)

The sky looks so stormy in this picture but it really wasn't as violent as it appears. The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is in the distance.

I've been back for a while now and am just now getting caught up! This past month has been an exciting one for Andewyn Designs and I can't wait to show some of the new designs that I've been working on~

Until then, live long and prosper. (Yes, I'm a TOS Trekkie!)

  1. Amazing boardwalk views. We have a nearby beach that has the dunes, but not the boardwalks. Happy new year to you, looking forward to seeing more fabulous designs in 2010.

  2. Thank you! The boardwalks are awesome there. We love the whole park, it's great to walk through with all the plant life and the ocean nearby~

I appreciate your words!
